The Central U.S. Stream Temperature (CENTRUST) model will estimate historical and future mean August stream temperatures across the Great Plains and surrounding states. It is inspired by the NorWeST model from the western U.S. and will be a significant step towards a national stream temperature model. The area of the initial model run is shown below.

The model will be built with state-of-the-art Spatial Stream Network (SSN) models, an approach that accounts for the unique properties of watersheds.
